North Carolina Fly Fishing Trip and Vacation Guide

Fly fishing in North Carolina can lead you high up in the Blue Ridge Mountains or west to the Cape Lookout area on the Atlantic Ocean for some reel exciting saltwater fly fishing. Spanish, and king mackerel, red drum and speckled trout can be on the fly in the saltwater region. For a fresh water approach head for the hills and get lost in over 300 miles of pristine mountain waters filled with trout. The South Holston and Watauga Rivers are know for their native brook trout. The Davidson River is also very productive for wild brook trout and Nantahala River is nice before all the canoes and tubes make their way onto the water. And if your still in need for some action, hit the Roanoke River in the spring for shad and striped bass fly fishing.
