Fly Fishing Knots - Double Turle Knot

Tying the Double Turle Knot

This knot is commonly used for tying a fly to the tippet.

1 - Push the tippet through the hook eye and slide the fly up the leader.

2 - Turn the back end of the tippet and make a slip knot. Bring the end around twice.

3 - Pull the knot down and push the fly through the loop.

4 - Tighten until the loop slips up to the head of the fly.
